Surviving, but just barely

This past week stating with last Friday my kids have been out of school on Fall Break. I even scheduled with all my babysitting kids to have Monday and Tuesday off. So that I could take my kids to do something fun. We had a whole week of fun things planned! Well someone or something had other plans for us!

Saturday morning Tucker and Emmy both woke up with high fevers and were really sick! I knew it was the Swine flu. My Mom and Sister had both had it the week before and we had been over there! I was not looking forward to this already! I took them to the Urgent Care which was a nightmare in itself and I will spare you all the details. But left there with prescriptions for both the kids. Only to find out that the whole valley was out of this prescription due to the fact that everyone is getting Swine flu! So I was preparing myself for a long week.

Well Tucker seemed to get over it fairly quickly and was better by like Sunday afternoon. Emmy wasn't so lucky, She was sick till about Wed. or Thurs. About Tuesday evening Rylenn and I both got a fever. Ry was one of the lucky ones and was better in a couple of days. Me on the other hand had a temp anywhere from 103.5 to 101 clear till the following Monday. Haydenn got it later in the week, but not so bad. Thank goodness Josh never got it and was a huge help the whole week.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the H1N1 vaccination, but if I knew I was going to be as sick as I was, I probably would have taken my chances with the shot. My kids on the other had weren't so bad and did just fine handling it themselves. So good luck to everyone out there. I hope none of you get it!

P.S. I read somewhere that if you gargle warm salt water or Listerine twice a day that it keeps the virus from spreading in your body and you will get well a lot sooner. Wish I would have known this, I would have tried anything!

Ready...... Set...... Hike!

I have two very happy boys in my house right now! Tucker has just finished his first season of football!! He couldn't be more excited! Everyday he would ask if it was a football day? And Everyday he wants to wear his football shoes! The first day he even wore his shoes and his jersey to bed!

But I have to say that I think Josh is just as excited! I think for Josh it is like a dream come true ,watching and coaching his son play football! He would have volunteered to be a coach but he wasn't sure if he would be working in town or not, so he is just helping out! But you should see the two of them on the field, it is all business, but I know they are having a blast!

Here are some of the high lights from this season!

A friend of ours was the coach and so all of Tuckers friends got on the same team! It made practices and ex specially game days extra fun! The boys would play football and the moms and kids sat together on the side lines and cheered!

Tucker and Kayden getting ready!
Tucker with his good friend Brock, getting ready for the play. I love how Brock is giving Tucker the thumbs up and Tucker is not even paying attention!
Handing off the ball!

This is one of my favorite pictures. Tucker hiking the ball to his really good friend Connor! I love Tuckers face, All business!
Tucker with Connor! I love these guys!
Tucker and Connors goofy faces!

Tucker so proud of his trophy!

Tucker was so fun to watch! Every time he got to run the ball or if he pulled someones flag he would come off the field just shaking. I think his adrenaline was racing. We had so much fun watching and supporting Tucker! I can't wait till next year!
