I Must have Blinked!

Haydenn is 1
A couple of weeks ago was Haydenn's first birthday! I can't believe that it has been a whole year! When I found out that I was pregnant, and realized that I was going to have 2 little girls only a year apart I was a little nervous! Everyone told me that if you can make it through the first year then you'll be fine. And here we are at the end of that first year! Yes I will admit it wasn't a walk in the park! Some days were really really tough and other were not so bad! But look at this cutie, I am so glad that we have her!!

Haydenn and her Grandpa Wilkins birthdays are only a couple of days apart. Grandpa wanted everyone to go out to the desert and ride quads and grill hot dogs and just hang out for his birthday so we decided to just make it a double birthday and do Haydenns there to!

Grandma provide this cute cupcake cake for Grandpa and Haydenn

She was so proud that she finally got a piece of the paper off! She was taking way to long to open her presents so all the kids joined in and helped her, but I think it left Rylenn a little confused. Now she thinks that all the stuff is for her.

At my Mom and Dads house on Sunday we sang happy birthday and had cake with my family!

I'm no cake decorator but it was fun to try! I saw this on a web site and thought it was so cute. The picture looked a lot better and I had to improvise a little, but I think it turned out ok!

She was so funny eating her cake! At first she wasn't quite sure what to do with it. But she caught on pretty quick!I think she liked playing in it more then she liked eating it. She kept squishing it between her fingers and laughing!

Haydenn has been such a joy to us, we love her so much and all her chub chub (Ry has nick named her chub chub for obvious reasons)! I love at this age where they are starting to show their little personalities. Haydenn loves to give hugs and kisses! When ever I pick her up, first thing she does is barry her face into me, but it doesn't last long, just a quick hug is all you get so you better enjoy it. Kisses on the other hand she will give over and over, and they are the open mouth full of slobber kind.

She still isn't walking and I really don't even think she is close. I think all of her extra chub slows her down just a bit! She can stand on her own but doesn't! She is to much of a chicken. She will be standing all on her own but then when she realizes it she starts to get nervous and sits down.

Haydenn has also had figured out that is small closed rooms (mostly at church) that her voice will echo. So if you take her into the bathroom, mothers lounge, or into the overflow which is where they hold Elders quorum she just yells the whole time listening to the sound of her own voice, and this isn't a quite little cute yell she does, this is a full on totally disrupting, loud as she can get yelling!

Aside from church Haydenn is a very very good baby! She never cries unless she needs something. She is content to play with her toys or watch the other kids play. She is so smiley and has been from very early on, someone just has to look at her or give her just a little attention and she is smiling and laughing! Haydenn also loves lotion when ever I start to rub the lotion on her she starts giggling. It must tickle or something but I love it! It makes me laugh every time!

Haydenn, unlike my other 2 girls who are blonde and blue eyed, has dark hair and dark eyes which I love! Now I just need another boy who is blonde and blue eyed and I'll have one of everything.

Right now Haydenn is totally in love with my brothers and both sets of Grandparents. She would much rather go to any of them then to me. I think it is because they give her what ever she wants. Ex specially my brother Jordan if he is even in the room she is fighting to get to him. He gives her his cell phone to play with to try to win her over, and it has definitely works, she loves him!

We love Haydenn so much and are so grateful that she came into our family! I can't wait to see what the future holds for her!

Lions and Tigers and Bears OH my!!!

We love the Tucson Zoo!! This last week a good friend invited us to go with them to the Zoo. It worked out perfect because Emmy was on spring break and we were looking for something fun to do. Tucson is our favorite Zoo because the animals are always so close and always out and about! This Zoo is also a lot smaller then the Phoenix Zoo so it's perfect for the little ones! Before we got to the Zoo, Rylenn kept on talking about, and wanting to see the elephants! Well when we actually got there and saw the elephants she was totally scared! She kept saying "It's to scary! The Elephants were really close and I think when she saw how big they were it totally freaked her out! So this is about the only pic I could get with Ry and Haydenn with any animal!

I'm sad that I didn't take more pictures! We stopped and ate a sack lunch in this grassy area and the kids just ran around and in between eating a bite or two of their sand witches they would wrestle each other! It was so cute to watch, Tucker needs a brother to wrestle with so bad! Thank goodness for friends! But I think the best part for all the kids was seeing the polar bear! He was swimming around and would do this funny back flip thing off the wall. He would swim right up against the window where the kids were watching, it was like they could reach out and pet him. It was way cool! Probably my favorite part as well!

Growing up my family always had a season pass to the Zoo. So I have a lot of fun memories as a kid there! It's fun to now see my kids making memories of their own! Thanks Carson for inviting us to the Zoo we had a blast!

Face meets desk!

The other night was pretty event full! It started out with Emmy sleep walking telling us that we needed to tell Uncle Barry (my brother) about the bread. Knowing she was asleep I was engaging in the conversation to give me and Josh a good laugh. Here is how it went...

Emmy - Tell Uncle Barry, Someone needs to tell Uncle Barry!

Me - Tell Uncle Barry what?

Emmy - about the bread!

Me - the bread?

Emmy - Yes! Someone tell Barry about the bread!

Me - What about the bread?

Emmy - That I fed the dog the bread, I'm really sorry Uncle Barry!

(at this point me and Josh are laughing so hard, she was so into her story)

that was about the point that she started to wake up, it was obvious that she needed to go to the bathroom. I followed her in just to make sure she really was awake, when I knew she was, I asked her about her dream. She didn't remember it or saying any of that stuff about Uncle Barry and the bread. But later I found out that my brothers had given all the kids some bread when we were at my parents. They told them that if they buried it in the dirt that next week when they came over that they could dig where they left the bread and find worms! Whatever!! But I guess the kids believed and all went out and buried their bread!! So I guess I can kind of see where the bread thing came from.

Later that night about 2am Emmy came down crying saying she hit her chin on her desk. What? how did you hit you chin on your desk, and what were you even doing at your desk? For of those of you who don't know we (meaning my kids and my husband) have a huge sleep walking problem at our house! I checked out her chin which was fine and sent her back to bed. But I got a little worried wondering if she would even make it back to bed, so I dragged myself out of bed and headed up to her room. She was awake, lying in bed on her side, and face up was this huge cut to her eye dripping blood and a nice big shiner! I was like, what the heck happened! (a little worried that this sleeping walking thing had gone to far!) and she then told me that she had fallen out of bed and hit her night stand. Oh ok that makes a little more sense! Ouch it did look pain full! The next morning her eye was huge swollen and I told her we should take pictures! She insisted that we put them on our blog. I told her that I would take pictures from day to day as it changes. Right now it is just really swollen and it looks like a big huge strawberry and of course a nice big cut. But I have a feeling in the next couple of days as it starts to bruise she is going to have one nice shiner!

#1 fan

Tucker seems to be the number one fan of the E.R. That boy has spent several hours of his life in the emergency room. I think he has visited every E.R. in the state of AZ. This last week we have been passing around this cold. No big deal, both of the little girls got it. It lasted about 24 hours. Then last Saturday Tucker got it, by Sunday night we were in the E.R. his asthma was so bad he could barely talk. They did a couple of breathing treatments and gave him a steroid which brought his oxygen level up a little but he was still really croupy! The good news was that it hadn't moved to his lungs, they sounded clear which was really good, I was afraid he was going to get pneumonia. Tuesday Tucker felt pretty good I could tell he was still not feeling great but was feeling much better then last night he woke up having another asthma attack, and is super sick again today. This kid I don't know what to do with him! He missed a much anticipated birthday party on Saturday and now today some friends of ours that moved to Texas are here visiting and we are not going to get to see them. He is going to be so sad when I tell him! Poor kid!
The nurse in the E.R. was so good with Tucker and she gave him this Dino mask to take home and use on his breathing treatments!
