Our Colorful Christmas nativity!

Our Christmas nativity this year was well . . . a little colorful!

We had the sweetest Angel ever! She even came with a pink feather boa and purple wings! This is Rylenn to the tee! She twirled and danced and flew around the room through out the whole story! Even though I'm sure the Angels on that night were a little more reverent I'm sure they were just as excited to be there as she was!

and Haydenn, well, she wanted nothing to do with it! We tried to make her a Shepard and let her hold a sheep, NOPE! We tried making her a wise man and letting her hold a treasure box to give to the baby, NOPE! This was about as much as she participated! Little stinker!
Tucker was a perfect Joseph and Emmy a beautiful Mary, and their cousin Bryly was the best baby Jesus! She just sat there very still through the whole thing and every once in awhile would look up and give Emmy the sweetest smile!

It brings tears to my eyes to see this picture and think of Mary holding her sweet baby Jesus, and the smiles that the two of them probably shared!

Even though our nativity wasn't as reverent as it should have been, I'm grateful for the opportunity that it gives my kids, and me, to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. I have to admit that I find myself considering just skipping the whole, dressing up and letting them act out the nativity. We just get so busy! But then I realize that this is what is most important and the other things will just have to wait! And it always turns out to be one of our most favorite parts of Christmas! It's scary how the world just creeps in and before you know it Christ is completely out of Christmas! So I'm determined to keep, and set more traditions that help us remember Christ through out Christmas!

Me and the kids had a total blast playing in the snow. Well that was until they got cold. We didn't really have the right clothes or gloves and so they got wet and cold fast, and by the time we went inside they were all crying cause their hands were burning!

But by the time Dad got there the next day they were ready to go again. When Dad joins in on the fun it's a whole new ball game.

This is what Dad had in mind! We hooked up the sleds to the back of the 4-wheeler and Josh pulled us around through the pastures! We had a blast! Emmy, Rylenn, and Tucker were on back and Josh and Haydenn were driving in front.

Josh did a great job being the driver, and Haydenn loved every min! Rylenn could never make up her mind, riding on the sled, or riding up front on the 4-wheeler with Dad? Such a hard choice!

The kids had a blast but once again started to get to cold. So Josh unhooked the sled and asked Tucker to bring it up to the house. Tucker yells to Rylenn to jump on and that he would give her a ride. What a good big brother! This was no easy task, it was all up hill!

It's kind of hard to see but Tucker is in the garage pulling with all his might, hand over hand trying to get her into the garage! I don't know why I just thought this was so cute!

Playing in the White Stuff!

I'm a little behind in blogging so be prepared for lots of new posts coming this way!

We spent Christmas in Eagar with Josh's parents. I left on Tuesday trying to beat a snow storm that was coming in and Josh came up with his Dad on Wednesday after they got done with work.

I barley made it before the storm, in fact by the time I was driving into town in was coming down so hard and the roads were completely snowed over. When I can't tell where I am on the road is when I'm done. So I was very grateful that I was in town! With in about 6 hours there was like 6 inches on the ground, and it kept on snowing all night long! The next morning we woke up to a lot of snow! My kids were so excited all they wanted to do was go out and play. We kept having to tell them to wait a little bit till the sun came up so it would warm up just a little.

Tucker was so excited I couldn't ever get him to look at the camera. He had so much fun eating the snow and then telling me over and over "Mom don't eat yellow snow". I don't even know if he knows why we don't eat yellow snow! LOL Rylenn didn't really know what to do, She was just happy to be out in it!

This little girl I couldn't get enough of! She looked so cute all bundled up with those chubby cheeks sticking out! I think she should be on the cover of a magazine(ok so I'm a little biased)!
I tried to convince my kids to wait to make snow angels, So they wouldn't be soaking wet right from the start. We didn't have real snow clothes on, and I knew they would freeze. But they couldn't help themselves! The snow was so fluffy that it made perfect Snow Angels!

The kids thought that it was so funny that the swing set was covered in snow! So they spent sometime playing and having a blast on it. It was a little different then when they play on it in the summer time with the sprinklers turned on!

Tucker taking his turn down the slide! This kid is fearless! He always has to do things back wards, upside down, head first, you name it and he'll do it! You can't really tell but the slide is on a hill so when you get to the bottom you kind of fly off. It was so funny watching Tucker fly like Superman and then do a belly flop in all the snow! He loved it and did it again and again and again!

I don't know why but this is one of my most favorite pics of our whole Christmas week! Tucker loved the snow!!!!

Good ol fashion snow ball fight. Grandma even got in on the action! There was so much snow on the tramp that the kids just stayed up there and made their snowballs!

Rylenn was just picking up the snow and throwing it, no time to make snow balls!

I love how Haydenns arms stick out like the Michelin Man!

I know everyone is wondering where we got our adorable beanies! ha ha ha!They were a gift given to us from my brother. He brought them home to us from his mission in Peru! Thanks Cam they worked great and my kids looked adorable!
