After 10 years of anxiously waiting we finally have a child old enough to show animals at the county fair! It's a little sentimental for Josh and I, we both showed at these same fair grounds and is where we first became good friends! For her first year Emmy showed a steer named Licorice and a lamb named Chip. For the whole week we live at the fair, while hours and hours are spent getting the animals ready for show.
Josh took a lot of grief for having a lamb at the fair! The Wilkins boys did steers and wouldn't be caught dead with a lamb! But little girls melt their Dads heart!
Josh teaching Emmy how to do it herself.
Go Emmy Go! Great job!
Great place to take some cute pictures and she was a willing participant!
When we told her it was straw, she of course thought it was a drinking straw instead of hay straw. Didn't taste so good!
Cutie!
Emmy showing Licorice! Doing great Emmy!
I love that you can't even see her over her steer. Littlest girl with one of the biggest steers! Go gettem Em!
Emmy did a great job and got a blue ribbon in her class!
Trying to get a good picture but Licorice is just to tired to cooperate!
Emmy showing her lamb, Chip!
Another blue ribbon. That's my girl!
Right after the auction. Emmy was a little sad to say goodbye!
Thank you to all those who came out to support us and the 4-H program! So excited for next year!
